Lil Ray grew up on the 1994 Ft. Lauderdale Bat Mitzvah scene, which might have started her dance party obsession and created her softspot for that Miami sound. (Yep, that’s me in the chair.)
In 1999, Lil Ray relocated to Atlanta where she discovered southern style beats and all night underground dance parties. She got behind the decks in 2008 and made a name for herself on the ATL independent music scene.
Lil Ray moved to Brooklyn at the end of 2009, and that’s when things really took off. She bounces around NYC every week, DJing at clubs, fashion shows, family events, benefits, and corporate events (most recently including Adult Swim Up Front where she opened for M.I.A.).
